Given the amount of resources that an Internet business puts into article marketing, we want to get the greatest return possible from our efforts.  Whether we write the content ourselves, use the writing talents of our employees or contract with an expert professional writer, online marketers want to recoup those expenditures as quickly as possible via increased traffic and revenue.

Most of us who use content syndication use article directories most often to distribute our content.  There are three advantages to using a good article directory.  The first of those is that a top ranking article directory gets a lot of visitors.  That results in a lot of potential readers being able to access our articles on the directory, itself.  Some of those people will read our article, and, if we have written persuasively, some of those readers will click through to our site.

Secondly, many webmasters who monetize their sites with advertising will add our articles (including our links) to add to their own sites in our niche or a related niche.  While these niche specific sites will have less traffic than the directory, that traffic will be more targeted, so our article will be relevant to those visitors’ interests.  Consequently, we can expect a higher proportion of those niche website’s visitors to choose to read our article.

In order to use nested spinning, I give you an example using just the third alternative, although I could nest additional choices into any or all of the three options.  Let’s say that I decide to let the computer select either “really enjoy” or “like immensely.”  Furthermore, perhaps I can change “dusty brown” to “muted shade of brown” in some cases.

The more choices the spinning software has, the more versions of the same base article that are sufficiently unique (different from every other version) will be successfully generated.  (A good target is to have each version that you submit to a website be a minimum of 25% different from every other version.  I actually prefer to reach a higher standard of about 35% or more.)

Here are a couple slightly different approaches to make the best use of your article spinning.

Method 1:  Rewrite every paragraph one time (two would be even better).  Use nested spinning by now rewriting each sentence in each alternative of each paragraph once.  Next, add one more level of nesting by providing alternatives to certain words and phrases in the first two paragraphs and in the last paragraph.

Method 2:  Rewrite every sentence in the entire article one time.  Go back to the beginning of the article.  Provide one more rewritten version of each sentence in the first, second and last paragraphs.  Using nesting, provide alternative words and phrases for each of the alternative sentences in the first several paragraphs and that last paragraph.  Also provide some alternatives for selected words and phrases in those middle paragraphs.

The first approach is better, especially if you have a high standard of uniqueness that you want to achieve or if you want to generate a large number of unique articles.  The second approach is faster and will usually yield satisfactory results.

Article marketing is probably one of the easier understood ways to actually get ranking on the search engines.  And more importantly, its totally above board when done right and you dont have to worry about getting blacklisted.A lot of people avoid it because its a bit "harder" in terms of actual work.  So anyone looking for the easy scam way to get ranking, and who does not want to build it right avoids it at all costs.  However, done right the hours you spend now will pay off for years into the future.

The first rule with article marketing is to pick topics to write on that you are familiar with.  Its just easier.  Most of the time people create sites or businesses around stuff they know (occasionally no).  This makes it much easier to write about what you know.  Of course you can easily do research too - just go to an article directory, pick your niche topic and start reading.  You would be amazed at how fast you can pick up basic information - often enough to craft an article.  In addition to the above, make sure you write in a simple to understand style.There is little point in wasting time with fancy, hard to understand words - afterall the main and sole focus is the links in the article.  This is not a doctoral thesis - you want to create an article in 15-20 minutes and move on to modifications and other stuff.

A good third rule is to try to limit your use of links in the article.  Most article directories limit you anyway but outside of that you can post on blogs and elsewhere with as many links as you want.Use common sense here again, the search engines are much smarter than that now.If one link is good, 200 is not better.A rule I use when the links are not limited by the venue is to include no more than 1 link per 200 words.  In addition, you want to be consistent with your keyword links to get benefit.  Do not try to master 20 keywords at once by linking different ones each time.You will need some form of repetition to get any measurable boost at all.Focus on 2 or 3 keywords and move your ranking up on those first.Once you achieve ranking on page 1 or 2 on Google, then you can move on to other words to broaden the base.

A forth rule to remember is repetition makes it all work.For the first month or 2, you really need to post a new article for distribution every 2-3 days.  Even after you get higher ranking, you still need to pump in some linked articles at least once a week to keep it fresh.  The search engines look at the date of the posts that have the link - over time they decay the value of those links if they see nothing new coming in.  Get accounts at all the major article networks like Ezine - they are very highly ranked in Google and others, so make sure you distribute to them as well.
