For beginners, a way to make money from internet giveaways is to enrol as a free member and download all of the gifts. Just one internet giveaway will usually give you just about all you need to start making money on the web. You will probably be able to download ebooks and software that you can resell, along with the website template that you can use to sell them, and plenty of hints and tips on attracting traffic to your offer.

However, there are better ways of making money from internet giveaways. You will profit much more if you have a product to give away yourself, and use it to build your list.

1. Upload a valuable gift - something that people will actually want.

2. Be sure that your gift is uploaded and test your opt in before the launch day. Most contributors will start promoting in the first 24 hours.

3. Have an upsell that people will see right away when they have signed up for your gift. For example you could have this offer on the same page as the download link for the free gift. I find that a low priced upsell works best ($5 to $15).

4. Send your new subscribers the download page address by email from your autoresponder, even if they already went straight there after they confirmed. This means they have another opportunity to buy your upsell.

5. Line up further emails from your autoresponder, giving either useful information or free bonus gifts.

6. Then you can start to promote your more expensive products (or affiliate products). Of course, the free gift should bring you people who will be interested in your later offers, so choose your free gift carefully.

7. Keep promoting the giveaway. If you do not yet have your own list, use free methods e.g. safelists. Do some promotion every day. This will add to your points so your gift is shown higher on the list.

8. If there is an upgrade where you can get your gift a higher slot, I recommend you take it. It pays.

Last but not least, keep logging in to see what is happening. Is your gift getting as many signups as others on the same page? How well is your upsell converting? Are your new subscribers unsubscribing right away, and if so, why? There are man things that you can test to increase your conversion rate.
