Business Blogging? Consistency Is King!

If you want to be successful in your business blogging, you must be consistent. When you start out posting to your business blog, your readers get accustomed to your style of writing and the content you’re producing. You can learn more about this and any other internet marketing topic at http://StevenDAgostino.com.

They grow to expect it, and if you change, they may stop reading or think they’re at the wrong blog. Since this is not something we want to see, here are some keys to help you remain consistent on your business blog.

You must brand yourself and your blog if you want long-term retention of your readership. All branding is is the creation of a look and feel that is yours alone, with some image, logo, avatar, or whatever that can be associated with you and your business.

If your website and blog are not the same, then make sure that you keep your brand consistent between them. If you’re just using a picture of yourself as your brand, you still want to post it on your blog somewhere to show that they are at a blog that is yours.

You also need to be consistent with the look of your blog. Make sure that your blog and website have the same colors and images. There can be no doubt that your folks are at your blog when they arrive. If you have a logo for your business, use it on your blog. If you have a custom header, use it throughout your site.

How often you write is also important to your readers. Your readers rely on hearing from you on a regular basis, whether that is every day or once a week. If you start by posting every day, you don’t want a sudden drop in activity to signal business problems to them.

You should communicate with a simple post if you must change your posting frequency. Or better yet, send message to your readers on your email list. Take care of your readers by letting them know you care about them.

Not only is being consistent important for how often you write, but consistency is important regarding what you write about. The point of building a business blog is to tell readers about your products and services, let them know what you have to offer them, show them how those can benefit them, and to make more sales.

Remembering that, your blog content should always do that. Get away from talking about anything not related to your business.

Don’t talk about unrelated stuff on your blog unless you want readers to drop off quickly. They are there to find out more about your business, not to hear you gossip about frivolous stuff that doesn’t relate.

When your writing style, content, and blog appearance are consistent, your readers will keep returning and driving traffic to your business! Grab a free copy of Business Blogging Secrets to learn more.

Affiliate marketing - the easiest way to profit?

Online profit is all marketers main focus. Affiliate marketing is possible the simplest method around to start making money on the Internet. If you think fat affiliate checks will roll in, without doing anything, after you have signed up for all affiliate programs you are mistaken can find!

Money and time are required to succeed online. You cannot earn a lot of money on the Internet by doing nothing - success depend on action.

But what is affiliate marketing? You bring the vendor visitors that buy and the vendor share the profit with you, sometimes up to 75%. For this he give you a percentage of the sales price of the product sold. According to most affiliate programs they give you a unique link and tell you to promote this link in as many places as possible. But since we know that the conversion rate for such traffic seldom is more than 1-2% it means that for every 100 visitors there is maximum 2 who buys, the rest is gone forever.

Therefore, a better strategy for affiliate marketing is to collect the name and email adress for visitors. This we can do by sending them to a squeeze page (or landing page) where the visitor has only two options - provide their name and email adress or click away from the page. If we give the visitors a software, a report or something else of value we can get their name and email adress. Their name and email adress is normally exchanged for the “listbait” offered. We have now built a list of prospects that can be emailed to until they buy or unsubscribe from the list By puechasing the initial offer or they unsubsxribe from the list.

The visitors become subscribers by giving their name and email on the squeeze page. They are double opt-in becauwse they must verify their email to receive the “listbait”. When they have provided name and email you can offer many products from vendors you are affiliated with. Most successful affiliate marketers use this strategy today. This is the two-step marketing model, and it is much more effective than directly promoting the vendors link. In the two-step model we first give the visitor something of value - we have done her/him a favour and does not stand out as agressive marketers. Since we are givingfree advice in the form of reports given to get name and email adresses. When they accepted your report some of them read it as well. These visitors will often buy from you as accept you as an authority!

A two-step marketing model bring in more money on a consistent manner. To automate the process use an autoresponder. The autoresponder will be discussed in the next article in the series.
