Business Blogging? Consistency Is King!

If you want to be successful in your business blogging, you must be consistent. When you start out posting to your business blog, your readers get accustomed to your style of writing and the content you’re producing. You can learn more about this and any other internet marketing topic at http://StevenDAgostino.com.

They grow to expect it, and if you change, they may stop reading or think they’re at the wrong blog. Since this is not something we want to see, here are some keys to help you remain consistent on your business blog.

You must brand yourself and your blog if you want long-term retention of your readership. All branding is is the creation of a look and feel that is yours alone, with some image, logo, avatar, or whatever that can be associated with you and your business.

If your website and blog are not the same, then make sure that you keep your brand consistent between them. If you’re just using a picture of yourself as your brand, you still want to post it on your blog somewhere to show that they are at a blog that is yours.

You also need to be consistent with the look of your blog. Make sure that your blog and website have the same colors and images. There can be no doubt that your folks are at your blog when they arrive. If you have a logo for your business, use it on your blog. If you have a custom header, use it throughout your site.

How often you write is also important to your readers. Your readers rely on hearing from you on a regular basis, whether that is every day or once a week. If you start by posting every day, you don’t want a sudden drop in activity to signal business problems to them.

You should communicate with a simple post if you must change your posting frequency. Or better yet, send message to your readers on your email list. Take care of your readers by letting them know you care about them.

Not only is being consistent important for how often you write, but consistency is important regarding what you write about. The point of building a business blog is to tell readers about your products and services, let them know what you have to offer them, show them how those can benefit them, and to make more sales.

Remembering that, your blog content should always do that. Get away from talking about anything not related to your business.

Don’t talk about unrelated stuff on your blog unless you want readers to drop off quickly. They are there to find out more about your business, not to hear you gossip about frivolous stuff that doesn’t relate.

When your writing style, content, and blog appearance are consistent, your readers will keep returning and driving traffic to your business! Grab a free copy of Business Blogging Secrets to learn more.
