Choosing the Right Affiliate Program
If you’ve done any investigation at all of online marketing, you’ll know plenty of scams abound. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the abundance of people looking for the means to improve their lives by making money on the Web. It’s a shame, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to pursue schemes that never yield anything. Fortunately, methods abound for making money on the Internet without any up-front fees. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have had run-ins with Web scheme run by rip-off artists!
But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. An example of this is the controversy over an web business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that one or more people have created a SBI affiliate review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.
One of the main ways I like to make money on the Internet is totally above-board and is also fairly easy. I make money writing using HubPages. HubPages — a community blogging site — makes it so simple to create content and generate ad revenue. You can create as many or as few content “hubs” (pages) as you want. Each hub you create can make up to five types of affiliate marketing revenue: Amazon and eBay items, any affiliate marketing program you want to implement, Google AdSense ads and Kontera ads. You get the revenue from 60% of the page views that generate money and HubPages gets the other 40 percent. The exception to that would be if you implemented an affiliate program; you get one hundred percent of any income generated by someone clicking through on an affiliate link. Building money-making hubs takes a bit of practice but the money you can generate over time makes it worth it.
There are many affiliate marketing programs out there but I like to use RevResponse on my hubs, because people who sign up get great free information. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse publications or white papers, you get paid. It’s that simple. The qualifying part is the catch though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more, check out this review of RevResponse. It will help you determine whether signing up is worth your time.
